Frame 75

Why should
you care

What happens with our oceans immensely impacts our future quality of life. Did you know, for example, that the oceans produces at least half of the oxygen we breathe? And that’s just one of the many functions that help our species to survive on this planet. For a sustainable future economy, we need to use marine resources and still do a better job protecting and restoring this ecosystem. And that job is a lot easier if we know more about the oceans – through research, and through spreading existing knowledge to more people, like you!
